Woo Wee! Great show! I saw them Nov 4th at Stubbs and they rocked! Highlights included a version of Brittany Spears “Toxic”- (did she write that?) which I have to say was really, really good.. especially if you’ve heard the other version. Anyway, four encores were performed and included an attempt to go vintage blue grass by crowding around one mic. Unfortunately the band from the bar in back of Stubb’s was so freaking loud that the effect was spoiled. Lucky for us, Nickel Creek decided not to end the show cresting the wave of anyone else’s notes so they turned up the amps and rocked us out with a blistering fiddle tune that was roughly 280 bpm. I could do without the fog machine and strobe lights, and Ok- all other concert goers, but the musicianship in this group is truly amazing. I haven’t had so much fun at show in a long time!
